Donalds attend historic World Series Game 5 Cubs win

Thumbnail

Luke and Diane Donald’s unabashed Chicago sports fandom has never been called into question. Hell, Michael Jordan attended the former No. 1’s last birthday party.

So the couple lived the dream this weekend, attending the Chicago Cubs first World Series appearance and first win at home since 1945.

Cubs Win!!!!! Been so much fun to go to the last 2 games of the World series and to witness the very first Cubs win at home since 1945 with @dianedonald We got a game 6 Chicago, let’s keep it going and #flythew #gocubsgo #WeBelieve #WorldSeries A photo posted by lukedonald (@lukedonald) on Oct 30, 2016 at 9:43pm PDT

My dad came to Chicago in the 1970s as a Greek immigrant and fell in love with the @Cubs. I know he is in heaven smiling that his daughters watched the first World Series win at Wrigley Field since 1945 tonight. #flythew #cubs A photo posted by Snapchat: dianedonald (@dianedonald) on Oct 30, 2016 at 10:35pm PDT

A lifetime of @cubs heartbreak and today was no different but today, always and forever, I am a Cubs fan. A photo posted by Snapchat: dianedonald (@dianedonald) on Oct 29, 2016 at 9:39pm PDT

We’re not saying the Donalds’ presence at the game was the reason for the win, but just to play it safe, the Cubs may want to set aside a couple of tickets for Game 6 in Cleveland.

Currently down 3-2 in the series, they need all the help they can get.
