We’re looking for something Rory McIlroy isn’t good at. HSBC tried rugby, and failed.
Out on the driving range at this week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, McIlroy comes face to face with another Irish athletic legend - Brian O’Driscoll.
O’Driscoll captained the Irish national rugby team from 2003 to 2012 and now apparently just hangs out at pro golf events in the Middle East with his own set of goal posts.
Enter McIlroy who accepts O’Driscoll’s challenge to try a drop kick and extend to O’Driscoll a challenge of his own - a drop wedge:
O’Driscoll actually hit the ball better than McIlroy. Oh well, Rory’s still OK, we guess.
