Fire drill Learn how to fire your lower body

The ability to initiate your lower body before your upper body in the downswing helps alleviate many common swing flaws. For many golfers the lower body is inhibited by tight hip flexors, weak glutes and a lack of generating an efficient kinematic sequence of the golf swing.

In an optimal swing, at the point of impact we want our lower body facing the target – the belt buckle and buttocks are rotated towards the target.

Try this simple drill to help you fire your lower body at impact.
