SOUTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – While our hearts and minds are turned to Southern California and the dangerous wildfires that have engulfed the region, Barefoot Resort is counting its blessings these days after it survived a wildfire of its own earlier this year.
Two of the four courses at Barefoot (Love and Fazio) shut down due to the blaze, but both have since reopened and show few signs of damage. If anything, the blackened trees serve as a reminder of how much worse it could have been.
