Andrew “Beef” Johnston didn’t qualify for the U.S. Open earlier this week, but it’s not all bad news for the affable big fella. In fact, he shared some very good news on Instagram Wednesday.
The 30-year-old Englishman took to the social media site to share that he and fiancée Jodie Valencia are expecting a baby, and in typical Beef fashion, he couldn’t help but throw in a little joke at his own expense:
“The best news of my life. Can’t believe We’re having A baby (calf).” Johnston wrote. “I can’t wait to be a dad and start a family with my favourite person in the world [Valencia].”
Johnston and Valencia were all smiles when they got engaged late last year during a “cheeky” vacation in Barbados, and they look even happier to be embarking on this next chapter of their lives.
What a journey the last few years have been for Beef. He’s come a long way.
