Jon Rahm will not return to LIV Golf due to ‘unacceptable’ proposal terms

The next version of LIV Golf will be without one of its biggest stars.

Jon Rahm’s attorney, in a statement reported by The Athletic’s Gabby Herzig, announced that the two-time major champion will not be returning to the
league.

The statement reads that Rahm “has independently reviewed the proposed terms of LIV 2.0 ... and has determined that those terms are unacceptable to him, and he will not be participating going forward.”

Earlier this week, fellow countryman, Sergio Garcia, was granted a release from his contract with the league.

Rahm signed a reported $300M deal with LIV Golf in December 2023 and has won three-straight season long individual titles. He did not enter the PGA Tour’s one-time Returning Member Program, and where he plays next is to be determined.
