The No. 118 pick of the 2011 draft, Brown was one of ex-GM Scott Pioli’s many busts, starting just two games in two years. He got shredded in coverage last season. Still only 25, Brown could get a look on waivers.

S D.J. Campbell was waived in a corresponding roster move. Brown appeared in five games for the Colts this season, making four tackles. He’s a special teamer.

Brown spent the first four weeks of the season with the Colts before landing on injured reserve with a groin issue. He was released six days later. Apparently all healed up, Brown could immediately see snaps in the Colts’ cornerback corps.

He’s listed as doubtful, but is likely done for the game. Brown gave up a 48-yard catch to Allen Robinson prior to going down. Darius Butler will replace Brown opposite Vontae Davis.

Brown started the past three games opposite Vontae Davis, but was getting torched in coverage and last just seven snaps before getting hurt Week 4. The Colts get a boost with LCB Greg Toler (neck) coming back this week.

The Dolphins have decided to go with R.J. Stanford over Brown as they shuffle their banged up cornerback corps. Brown had yet to be active since signing earlier this month.

Brown has bounced around the bottom of rosters ever since the Chiefs took him in the fourth round of the 2011 draft. He’ll be asked to fill Purifoy’s special teams role and provide depth at corner with Greg Toler and Vontae Davis both banged up.

He takes the roster spot of Will Davis, who was placed on injured reserve. A 2011 fourth-round pick, Brown appeared in two games with the Colts earlier this season and will provide depth.

Brown translated his great size and athleticism into five interceptions over his final two seasons at Colorado, earning all Big 12 honorable mention honors as a senior. However, he struggles with positioning, and is most effective in bump-and-run coverage. His snaps are likely to be limited in 2011.
