John Jenkins scored 26 points and Team USA defeated Columbia 95-77 on Monday night in a second-round qualifying game for next year’s World Cup.
Jenkins, a free agent without an NBA team, has scored 48 points on 17-of-25 shooting, hitting 14-of-21 from downtown over his last two games. That should turn some NBA executive’s heads and coach Jim Boylen said after the game that his “leadership has been the biggest part of this.” USA basically needs just one win in its last four games to qualify for World Cup.

The Knicks have declined to extend qualifying offers to John Jenkins and Henry Ellenson, reports Michael Scotto of The Athletic.
Both players appeared in roughly 20 games for the Knicks last season, making minimal impacts.

The Knicks plan to decline John Jenkins’ team option for the 2019-20 season.
No surprise here, as the Knicks are planning on cleaning out as much cap space as possible, and Jenkins only saw limited minutes off the bench last season. However, Berman notes that New York does have some interest in re-signing him as a free agent.

Mario Hezonja (illness), Kadeem Allen (concussion), Dennis Smith Jr. (knee) and Lance Thomas (personal) are being listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. Detroit.
Hezonja was a late-scratch on Tuesday, and if Hezonja, Allen and DSJ all hit the sidelines, we could see John Jenkins or Billy Garrett get the start at point guard. The Knicks won’t be hosting a shootaround with today’s game being the second of a back-to-back set, so we won’t get another update until just prior to tip-off. Stay tuned.

The New York Knicks and guard John Jenkins have agreed to a two-year deal, Yahoo’s Shams Charania reports.
The second season, per Ian Begley, includes a trigger date to be guaranteed, giving the Knicks flexibility in hopes of being able to sign some big names this offseason. It’s hard to imagine Jenkins being much of a fantasy factor at this stage of his career.

John Jenkins scored 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Hawks on Thursday.
Jenkins had a belated revenge game against the team that drafted him 23rd overall in 2012. He saw some extra time with Mario Hezonja (leg) out and took advantage. his 10-day contract is due to expire soon, which means the Knicks will have a decision to make. However, fantasy owners should ignore Jenkins outside the deepest of leagues.

John Jenkins will sign another 10-day contract, but it’ll be with the Knicks this time around.
Jenkins has been on a 10-day deal with the Wizards, where he saw just 14 minutes in five possible games. He had played for the Knicks’ G-League affiliate this season and impressed their front office. In 21 games in the G-League, Jenkins averaged 24.7 points, 3.7 assists and 3.5 treys, while shooting 46.6% from the floor and 42.9% from three. Knowing how coach David Fizdale has worked his rotations this year, Jenkins will probably start for the Knicks for a few games. Jokes aside, don’t worry about adding him.

John Jenkins is finalizing a 10-day contract with the Wizards.
The Wizards bumped Otto Porter back into the starting lineup on Wednesday and can use some added scoring punch off their bench. Even so, Jenkins is on a short-term contract and isn’t worth adding in almost any fantasy scenario.

The Knicks waived John Jenkins on Thursday.
He was with the Knicks for less than two days, but he was always considered a long-shot to make the regular season roster. He’s expected to end up in the G-League.

The Knicks have signed John Jenkins to a training camp contract.
He’ll be cut prior to the start of the regular season and will likely head to New York’s G-league affiliate.
