Wizards signed Kadary Richmond to a 10-day contract.
Richmond is in his first season of professional basketball after playing at Syracuse, Seton Hall and St. John’s in college. The 24-year-old point guard went undrafted, but caught on with the Wizards on a two-way contract. In 23 games (15 starts) in the G-League, he is averaging 8.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 45.7 percent from the field. Richmond could see rotation minutes with the Wizards, but isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues just yet.

NBA Insider Chris Haynes reports PG Kadary Richmond has agreed to a two-way contract with the Wizards.
Richmond averaged 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.9 blocks per game for St. John’s last season. He’s a poor shooter and struggles to score in other ways, but he is an intriguing prospect that can create for others and play lockdown defense. It’s unclear how he fits into Washington’s plans, but he’s certainly going to work hard for a spot in the rotation.
