    Giants waived WR/KR Kaelin Clay.
The Giants needed to clear a roster spot for a tight end. Seeing some time on special teams, Clay missed Week 3 with an ankle injury.

Giants WR/KR Kaelin Clay (ankle) is out for Week 3 against the Texans.
Clay surprisingly didn’t travel with the team to Houston after practicing in full on Friday. Odell Beckham and Sterling Shepard could reportedly handle some punt returns with WR Cody Latimer continuing his duties as the New York’s primary kick returner.

Bills acquired WR Kaelin Clay from the Panthers in exchange for CB Kevon Seymour.
The 2015 sixth-rounder of the Bucs has bounced around but had a strong preseason, catching six balls for 127 yards (21.2 YPR) and will try to stick on the Bills’ 53-man roster this fall. He’s not a fantasy option.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Panthers claimed WR Kaelin Clay off waivers from the Bills.
Clay played 74 snaps for the Bills before being waived on Monday. He’ll provide depth in Carolina.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
    Bills waived WR Kaelin Clay.
Clay played 59 percent of Buffalo’s offensive snaps as recently as Week 5, but he performed poorly and quickly fell out of favor. It’s never a good sign when a wide receiver gets cut by a team as wide receiver needy as the Bills.

Bucs signed No. 184 overall pick WR/KR Kaelin Clay to a four-year contract.
A former high school track star, Tampa’s return job is Clay’s to lose, but he’s not going to feature on offense. He’s a final-round flier in dynasty drafts.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Bucs waived WR Kaelin Clay, CB Jude Adjei-Barimah, DE Ryan Delaire, DT Caushaud Lyons and WR Donteea Dye.
A sixth-round rookie, Clay was held without a preseason catch. Clay has track speed, but isn’t much of a receiving prospect. He’s presumably headed to the practice squad.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Bucs released WR Kaelin Clay from the practice squad.
Clay was the No. 184 overall pick of May’s draft, but was so unimpressive in camp he couldn’t even secure a spot on the Bucs’ 10-man taxi squad. Clay is a return specialist by trade.

Bucs selected Utah WR Kaelin Clay with the No. 184 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
After taking Jameis Winston with the No. 1 overall pick, the Bucs have added a tackle, guard and two wide receivers to an offense that only scored 17.3 points a game in 2014. Clay (5'10/195) spent one year with the Utes after transferring from JUCO, earning first-team All-American accolades as a return specialist. He scored three touchdowns on punt returns in 2014 and added a kickoff return TD. Not nearly as exciting a receiver prospect, Clay managed a 43-523-4 line on offense. Limited athletically, Clay ran 4.51 at the Combine with a 33-inch vertical and 9-foot-5 broad jump. Just as he did at Utah, Clay will have to earn his NFL keep on special teams.

GM Jason Licht said the Bucs’ kick returner job is Kaelin Clay’s to lose.
A track star in high school, Clay profiles as an elite return specialist, a role filled by Soloman Patton last season. The question is whether he’ll be a factor in the passing game. Licht gave Clay a mild endorsement, commenting that he has “a little value” on offense. We don’t expect much from Clay at receiver.
