Former Bills seventh-round OG Kyle Calloway was killed this past Saturday after being struck by a train in Arizona.
Calloway was jogging along the train tracks in Vail, Ariz. when he was struck from behind by a train. He was the 216th overall pick in the 2010 draft. Calloway appeared in five preseason games for the Bills and Ravens but never saw any regular-season snaps. He also played for the Hartford Colonials of the UFL.
  • Seventh-round pick Kyle Calloway will convert from tackle to guard with the Bills.
The Bills did very little to address their need at offensive tackle, which should make incumbent LT Demetrius Bell feel good. However, chances are it doesn’t make Trent Edwards feel very good.
  • Ravens signed OT Kyle Calloway and waived RB Walter Sanders.
Calloway, a former Iowa Hawkeye, was the Bills’ seventh-round pick in 2010. He’s known as a physical right-tackle prospect, but lacks pro-caliber athleticism and positional versatility. Sanders was a long shot from St. Augustine.
  • Ravens waived OT Kyle Calloway.
A seventh-round pick of the Bills last year, Calloway was waived before the regular season. A load at 6-foot-7, 315 pounds, Calloway simply doesn’t possess NFL-level athleticism.
  • Bills signed seventh-round OL Kyle Calloway to a four-year contract.
Calloway (6'7/315) was originally expected to transition to guard, but the Bills have kept him at right tackle during OTAs. Even if he starts out on the practice squad, Calloway is a good bet to see action this season with the lack of depth up front in Buffalo.
  • Bills waived OT Kyle Calloway, DL Lonnie Harvey, and WR Aaron Rhea.
Draft picks are rarely waived at first cuts, so Calloway really must not have impressed on the practice field. He was a seventh-rounder out of Iowa. Harvey’s size is intriguing, so he may get a look for the practice squad.
