Free agent CB Loucheiz Purifoy has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2015 season.
It’s likely related to a substance abuse policy violation. Purifoy, a priority undrafted free agent in 2014 who had off-field issues at the University of Florida, spent some time with the Colts last year.

Colts signed Florida CB Loucheiz Purifoy.
Purifoy (5-foot-11, 190) made 19 starts for the Gators, registering 4.5 career tackles for loss, two interceptions and five forced fumbles. Despite being a big-name college player, Purifoy is frustrating to watch on film with obvious technical flaws, and poor effort in run support. He plays faster than his 4.61 forty indicates, but still gives up too much separation. Purifoy lacks ball skills and has very small hands (8 1/2"), which suggests he’ll never be a playmaker.

Ex-Colts CB Loucheiz Purifoy has signed with the CFL’s BC Lions.
Purifoy was a big name prospect, but went undrafted due to poor film and character concerns. A free agent, he was suspended for the first 10 games of last season. Purifoy is only 23, but his NFL ship has likely sailed.

Seahawks claimed CB Loucheiz Purifoy off waivers from the Colts.
A priority UDFA, Purifoy has seven tackles and a forced fumble in 11 games this season. With Jeremy Lane sidelined, he’ll add corner depth. Seattle placed OLB Kevin Pierre-Louis on I.R. to make room for Purifoy.

Former Colts CB Loucheiz Purifoy failed his physical with Seattle, nixing the Seahawks’ waiver claim on him.
The undrafted rookie out of Florida will now hit street free agency. The Seahawks have an open spot on their 53-man roster and figure to fill it this week.

NFL suspended free agent CB Loucheiz Purifoy four games.
A “name” undrafted free agent out of Florida, Purifoy appeared in 11 games for the Colts before getting waived in late November. He was claimed by the Seahawks, but waived three days later with a “failed physical” designation. It’s fair to wonder if the Seahawks had wind of Purifoy’s impending ban, using the “failed physical” designation as a way to get out of their claim.
