Means

The deal is pending a physical, which Means will take at Packers headquarters Monday. Means is a 5-foot-10, 190-pound cornerback who “caught the Packers’ eye” by running a 4.4 forty during a recent workout. He played last season for the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL. Means played his college ball at Houston.

The former undrafted free agent spent 2011 in the CFL, and 2012 out of football. He “caught the Packers’ eye” by running a 4.4 40-yard dash in a tryout. Means is just a depth signing, and will be lucky to survive first cuts in training camp.

Means is a 24-year-old burner out of Houston. The Packers were pleased with his training camp performance and hope to keep him on the practice squad.
