The Clippers have released Xavier Moon, Malik Fitts, and Nate Darling.
Neither Moon nor Fitts nor Darling were going to figure into the Clippers’ rotation, so none of these moves was a surprise. All three could be headed to the team’s G League affiliate in Ontario, California. The Clippers now have 16 players under contract and one open two-way contract slot (rookie Moussa Diabate occupies the other).

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers will use the “waive and stretch” provision on Malik Fitts, Nik Stauskas, and Juwan Morgan.
The Pacers recently agreed (verbally) with Deandre Ayton on an offer sheet worth $133 million over four years, so the front office has to free up cap space to sign him. Stauskas, Fitts, and Morgan were all acquired from the Celtics in the Malcolm Brogdon trade, and they were unlikely to log rotation minutes if the Pacers decided to hold onto them.

Malik Fitts has been dealt to the Pacers as a part of the trade for Malcolm Brogdon.
Fitts finished the season with Boston, but he never saw the court outside of garbage time. He likely won’t get more minutes in Indiana, unless it’s during silly season. He isn’t a relevant player in fantasy basketball.

  • Malcolm Brogdon has been traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith, Nik Stauskas, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan and a 2023 first-round pick, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski announced on Friday.
Brogdon finally has a new home. He’s been in the rumor mill for what feels like years, especially with Indiana clearly in the middle of a rebuild. If Brogdon can stay healthy, a backcourt of him, Marcus Smart, and Derrick White will be very difficult to score on. Assuming Boston doesn’t decide to send Smart back to a bench role, Brogdon will be one of the best sixth men in the league and should still play a huge role. The Celtics didn’t have to give up much, as none of those five players were a part of their rotation when the team was healthy, and that should be a very late first round pick unless things go very south for the Celtics next season.

Kelan Martin and Malik Fitts are both expected to sign their second ten-day contracts with the Boston Celtics.
They each played three whole minutes in garbage time in their first ten-day stint, but that was it. Nothing to see here for fantasy purposes.

  • NBA Small Forward #31
Kelan Martin will join the Boston Celtics on a 10-day contract Tuesday.
Martin has played in 27 games this season and will join Malik Fitts in attempting to make one of the three open roster spots in Boston.

  • NBA Small Forward #18
Malik Fitts will join the Boston Celtics on a 10-day contract Tuesday.
Fitts has only played in seven games this season, so this move will not have any fantasy impact.

  • NBA Small Forward #18
The Jazz have waived Malik Fitts.
Fitts was on a two-way contract, so this move may precede another that the Jazz plan to make. Fitts suffered a fracture in his right wrist last week, and the injury is expected to keep him sidelined for at least four weeks.

  • NBA Small Forward #18
Malik Fitts will be re-evaluated in four weeks after X-Rays revealed a fracture in his right wrist, the team announced.
Fitts was placed in a hard cast, and he will be out for at least a month. He was not on the fantasy radar anyways.

  • NBA Small Forward #18
Malik Fitts (right wrist) is ruled out for Wednesday’s game vs. Cavaliers.
Fitts will miss a second consecutive game and isn’t in the rotation when healthy, so leave him on the waivers.
