Cardinals signed TE Demetrius Harris, formerly of the Bears.
Arizona also brought in two additional defensive linemen, Josh Mauro and Margus Hunt, as well. Harris spent his 2020 season with the Bears, playing a mix of special teams and offense. A natural blocker and capable pass-catcher, Harris has a shot a cracking the Cardinals’ final roster. The lineman Arizona signed may end up as nothing more than camp bodies. The Cardinals were missing four defensive linemen Tuesday and open their preseason on Friday.

    Saints released DL Margus Hunt.
Hunt, signed in April, played in all four games with the Saints before being released prior to kick-off Monday night. He registered three tackles and one quarterback hit across 94 snaps this year. There’s a chance he lands on the team’s practice squad moving forward.

Saints agreed to terms with DL Margus Hunt, formerly of the Colts, on a one-year contract.
Going on 33, Hunt not only failed to register a sack for the Colts last season, but a quarterback hit. Hunt resuscitated what had been a bust of a career in Indy, but age seems to have caught up fast with a player who entered the league as an ancient 26-year-old rookie in 2013. Hunt will not be guaranteed to make the Saints’ extremely deep 53-man roster.

    Colts released DE Margus Hunt.
Hunt’s release clears $4 million off of the Colts’ books for the 2020 season. It was a no-brainer move after Hunt failed to rack up a single quarterback hit or tackle for loss across 16 games last year. Hunt should have a soft market as he heads into his age-33 season.

Colts re-signed DE Margus Hunt to a two-year, $9 million contract.
It’s not a bad deal for the 32-year-old late bloomer. Hunt finished out his two-year, $4.1 million contract in 2018, making 15 starts and registering a new career high in sacks at five. That represents 66.6 percent of his career total. Hunt will likely again play 70-80 percent of the Colts’ defensive snaps in 2019.

Bengals.com suggests second-round DE Margus Hunt could be a weekly inactive as a rookie.
Hunt is short on experience but long on athleticism, and he landed in the perfect situation with the Bengals. The soon-to-be 26-year-old ran a 4.60 forty and repped 225 pounds 38 times at the Combine. The Bengals are loaded up front on the defensive line, and Hunt is no higher than fourth or fifth on the defensive end depth chart. He’ll be given plenty of time to work on his craft.

Bengals agreed to terms with No. 53 overall pick DE Margus Hunt.
One of the draft’s most unique prospects, Hunt is a native of Estonia going on 26 years of age. The SMU product didn’t light up the stat-sheet in college, but tore up the Combine, running a 4.60 40-yard dash and 1.62 ten-yard split. A mountainous 6-foot-8, 277 pounds, Hunt managed an eye-popping 38 bench-press reps. Bengals.com believes Hunt could be a frequent inactive as he learns the NFL game as a rookie, but his upside is definitely off the charts. It’s just a matter of harnessing it, which is never easy.

According to DallasCowboys.com’s Bryan Broaddus, the “thought among (scouts)” is that some teams may consider SMU DE Margus Hunt at tight end.
A freak athlete, Hunt has a 6-foot-8, 277-pound frame, and did 38 reps on the bench press to go along with a 4.60 40-yard dash at the Combine. He had a spotty college career, however, and has poor technique. He’s already 25 years old. Hunt will be a gamble at defensive end, but an even bigger one at tight end.

A source tells NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport that SMU DE Margus Hunt “won’t get past (the) first round.”
Hunt is a freak athlete, packing 4.60 speed onto his 6-foot-8, 277-pound body, but will turn 26 in July. He also had an underwhelming college career, and has raw technique. If Hunt goes on day one, it will be based on his athleticism alone. Hunt has been linked to the Jets in recent days.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
SMU DE Margus Hunt led all defensive linemen in bench-press reps at the Combine with 38 reps of 225 pounds.
Hunt goes 6-foot-8, 277 with pretty long arms at 33 3/8 inches, so the feat is impressive. Hunt, an Estonia native who turns 26 in July, has a journeyman-type background for an NFL draft prospect. He’s a projected day-two selection.
