Twins signed RHP Mario Sanchez to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old hurler spent the past three seasons in the Nationals organization, most recently posting a 4.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 115/23 K/BB ratio over 114 2/3 innings between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester. You can never have enough starting pitching depth, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Sanchez debut with the Twins at some point during the 2022 season.
