Ohio State RB Master Teague had a strong pro day after being snubbed by the NFL Scouting Combine.
Teague (5'11"/221) ran a 4.44 and 4.49 40-yard dash on the day, while also putting him 27 bench reps, a 36-inch vertical jump and a broad jump of 10-feet-11 inches. Teague’s workout would’ve ranked among one of the best by any running back at the combine, with his bench press and broad jump topping all running back participants. In four years at Ohio State, Teague rushed 323 times for 1,764 yards and 17 touchdowns. He saw his role reduced in 2021 after the emergence of TreVeyon Henderson, but with proven size and athleticism, the former four-star prospect should get a shot at the NFL level.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague III to enter the NFL Draft.
After starting the season as the Buckeyes starting RB, Teague III (5'11/226) slid down the depth chart with the emergence of TreVeyon Henderson. He had his best statistical season in 2019 rushing for 789 yards and four touchdowns. Over the past two seasons, his numbers have declined having shared time with Trey Sermon and Henderson. He will likely be a late day-three selection in the draft.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague III should be available for the Rose Bowl against Utah.
OSU head coach Ryan Day indicated that he anticipates Teague (5'11/226) to be ready for their finale at the Rose Bowl. This backfield is still led by the talented TreVeyon Henderson, but Teague will provide some extra depth along with Miyan Williams.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague III (undisclosed) and senior CB Sevyn Banks (undisclosed) have been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Michigan.
Teague (5'11/226) and Banks are two of the more important players on the Buckeyes’ list of inactives for Saturday’s showdown. The sophomore running back missed over a month of action due to injury before returning for last weekend’s win over Michigan State, and he’s headed back to the sideline. Ohio State still has TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams, so they should be fine. As for Banks, he will sit for the second straight week due to an undisclosed injury.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague III (undisclosed) is available for Saturday’s game against Michigan State.
Teague (5'11/226) has been sidelined for more than a month due to an injury he suffered during the Buckeyes’ October 9 win over Maryland. His time away from the gridiron may be coming to an end, however, as the redshirt sophomore is available to play. How much Teague will play remains to be seen. At minimum, Ohio State will have an experienced option to call upon alongside freshmen TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams.

  • Ohio State RB Master Teague (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day for Saturday’s game at Michigan State.
Teague (5'11/226) was originally hurt on October 9 against Maryland when he rushed four times for 31 yards and a touchdown before succumbing to injury. He returned against Nebraska on November 6, rushing twice for eight yards before going down again and missing last week’s contest against Purdue. The redshirt sophomore has carried 46 times for 260 yards, 5.7 yards per tote and three touchdowns while earning a respectable 78.2 rushing grade according to PFF. He is up on the air to play this Saturday against Michigan State.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore Master Teague III (undisclosed) is not available for Saturday’s game against Purdue.
The Buckeyes will be down a running back Saturday, as Teague (5'11/226) will not be in uniform due to an undisclosed injury. While he was able to play in last weekend’s win over Nebraska, the redshirt sophomore did not get many reps. TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams, both freshmen, will handle most of the reps Saturday afternoon.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague (undisclosed) is still considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday’s game at Nebraska.
Teague (5'11/226) hasn’t played since October 9 against Maryland when he rushed four times for 31 yards and a touchdown before succumbing to injury. The redshirt sophomore has carried 44 times for 252 yards, 5.7 yards per tote and three touchdowns while earning a respectable 78.3 rushing grade according to PFF. Similar to how he was passed over last season by Trey Sermon for starting duty, five-star phenom TreVeyon Henderson has taken over the Ohio State running back room and shuttled Teague into a backup role. The Buckeyes are heavy 15 point favorites heading into this week’s gam at Nebraska.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday’s game against Penn State.
Teague (5'11/226) will sit for a second consecutive week, and his absence leaves the Buckeyes with three healthy scholarship running backs. Freshmen TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams are at the top of the depth chart, with the former set to once again lead the way. Henderson has rushed for 693 yards and 11 touchdowns on 79 carries this season.

  • Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Master Teague (undisclosed) should be able to return this Saturday against Penn State.
Teague (5'11/226) has filled a reserve role once again for the Buckeyes behind freshman phenom TreVeyon Henderson who is already one of the best running backs in the nation. He has rushed 44 times for 252 yards, 5.7 YPC and three touchdowns thus far, with his 15 carries for 69 yards against Tulsa representing his season high in usage. Teague will split backup reps with Miyan Williams if he is able to suit up on Saturday against the Nittany Lions.
