Blue Jays prospect third baseman Mitch Nay went 3-for-4 with a double for Low-A Lansing on Friday, extending his hit streak to 10 games.
Nay has hits in 15 of his last 18 games, hitting .346/.378/.500 with nine doubles and one home run, raising his season line to .289/.344/.394 with 31 doubles, three triples, and three home runs. Nay has yet to turn his batting practice power into in-game power, but the doubles and a solid approach are great signs. He has the potential to hit .280 with 20 home runs, but will need a few more years to develop.
