Aaron Laffey lost to the Twins after giving up four runs in five innings on Friday.
Laffey entered camp as the fallback for the fifth spot in Toronto’s rotation, and he might get the spot because of Dustin McGowan’s injury. It’s doubtful he’d have any fantasy value.

Aaron Laffey gave up two runs over five innings in Tuesday’s win over the Red Sox.
Laffey allowed just two hits (including a two-run homer by Kelly Shoppach) while fanning three and walking none. He now has a 2.70 ERA over 10 innings of work this spring and could be an option for the fifth spot in the rotation if Dustin McGowan isn’t deemed ready.

Blue Jays reassigned LHP Aaron Laffey to minor league camp.
Laffey, a non-roster invitee, posted a 5.40 ERA and 13/1 K/BB ratio over 20 innings this spring. The 26-year-old southpaw could be an option for the rotation if the Jays don’t get two solid starters out of Kyle Drabek, Joel Carreno, Dustin McGowan and Brett Cecil.

Blue Jays optioned LHP Aaron Laffey to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Laffey, a non-roster invitee, failed to make the club out of camp, but was called up soon thereafter, spending a week with Toronto. He didn’t appear in a game. Laffey will likely be on a shuttle between Vegas and Canada all season long.

Blue Jays purchased the contract of LHP Aaron Laffey from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Laffey, a non-roster invitee, failed to make the club out of camp, but that was probably due to the fact that the Jays needed an additional starting pitcher in their opening series. Toronto will use the 26-year-old southpaw as a swingman for now, but he could be useful in deep AL-only leagues if he is able to crack the wide-open back-end of Toronto’s rotation later on this season.

    Royals non-tendered LHP Aaron Laffey.
Laffey was projected to make just over $1 million in his first year of arbitration. The 26-year-old left-hander was claimed off waivers from the Yankees in October after posting a 3.88 ERA and 30/21 K/BB ratio over 53 1/3 innings this past season.

Blue Jays signed LHP Aaron Laffey.
MLB Trade Rumors reports that he’ll get a split contract. Laffey, 26, was non-tendered by the Royals earlier this month. He actually declined a pre-tender deal in order to find an opportunity to pitch as a starter. The southpaw posted a 3.88 ERA and 30/21 K/BB ratio over 53 1/3 innings this past season between the Mariners and Yankees. He’s a longshot to make Toronto’s starting rotation.

Blue Jays recalled LHP Aaron Laffey from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Laffey has a 4.52 ERA over 11 starts at the Triple-A level this year. Brandon Morrow (oblique) is likely to need a stint on the disabled list, so the southpaw is an option to take his spot in the starting rotation.

Blue Jays optioned LHP Aaron Laffey to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Laffey didn’t make an appearance after being called up on Monday. The Jays will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Friday’s game.

Aaron Laffey turned in a quality start in Friday’s loss to the White Sox, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits over six innings of work.
Laffey fanned four and walked one on the evening. He cruised through the first four inning, before the White Sox strung together four hits to score three times in the fifth. A.J. Pierzynski then added a solo shot in the sixth to finish the damage against Laffey. If his first two outings are any indication, Laffey may actually be an asset in the Jays rotation.
