Amaury Telemaco should officially have a job in the Philadelphia bullpen after his $550,000 salary becomes guaranteed today.
Unless Telemaco is traded, the Phillies will have just one open spot for Dave Coggin or Ryan Madson. Coggin is out of options, so he’s the likely choice.

Amaury Telemaco is competing with David Coggin, Geoff Geary, Josh Hancock, Ryan Madson, and Bud Smith for two open bullpen jobs with the Phillies.
“Throw a blanket over them right now,” manager Larry Bowa said. “I couldn’t tell you who’s going to make our team. That’s how close they are.” Bowa seems to be leaning towards rewarding Telemaco with one of the openings for the job he did last season.

Manager Larry Bowa said Amaury Telemaco, who left Sunday’s start after the sixth with a stiff neck, should make his next scheduled start.
Telemaco is not a recommended fantasy starter.

Manager Larry Bowa doesn’t expect Amaury Telemaco back until late July or early August, much like Vicente Padilla.
Both right-handers have tendinitis, Telemaco in his right rotator cuff, Padilla in his right elbow.

Amaury Telemaco (rotator cuff tendinitis) will throw two innings in a simulated game tomorrow for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Manager Larry Bowa said Telemaco could be back with the Phillies on Sunday or Monday.

RHP Amaury Telemaco said he expects to be activated from the DL today.
Telemaco has been out since June 13 with a rotator-cuff strain. He said he still feels some minor pain when he throws, so it looks like he may be rushing back to help the Phillies’ worn-out bullpen.

Phillies re-signed RHP Amaury Telemaco to a one-year, $600,000 contract.
Telemaco, who was non-tendered yesterday, will be back to compete for a bullpen spot in the spring. The 30-year-old struggled while pitching hurt during the first couple of months of last season, but he came back and performed well over the final two months. He’s a pretty good 12th pitcher.
