De Los Santos injured a ligament in his thumb earlier in camp and will miss the next 8-10 weeks while in recovery mode. The 22-year-old catcher finished with a poor .540 OPS in 91 plate appearances between rookie ball and Double-A last season. His future is a bit cloudy.

De Los Santos underwent surgery to repair a ligament early in his thumb last week and is expected to get a late start on the season. Jimenez had a double in his only spring at-bat and Ramirez batted once in four games played.
