Double-A New Hampshire’s Brandon Magee finally earned his first win after 10 losses by allowing five runs over six innings on Thursday.
Magee has had better outings, but he’s sporting a 6.04 ERA and a 33/38 K/BB ratio in 85 innings, so it’s hardly been all bad luck leading to a 1-10 record. The 2006 fourth-round pick figures to be moved to the pen next year unless he comes through with a big second half.
