Guardians sent RHP Connor Brogdon outright to Triple-A Columbus.
The 31-year-old hurler was designated for assignment last weekend but he passed through waivers unclaimed and accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A. He’ll continue to function as extra bullpen depth for the Guardians and should get another opportunity with the big league club at some point this season.

Guardians designated RHP Connor Brogdon for assignment.
With his velocity down a bit from last year, Brogdon had given up five homers in 15 1/3 innings, leaving him with a 5.28 ERA. Still, since he’s making only $900,000 on his deal with the Guardians, someone might pick him up off waivers.

The Guardians are signing right-hander Connor Brogdon on a one-year deal, The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reports.
It’s worth $900,000, according to Zack Meisel. With his velocity having bounced back to where it was a few years ago, Brogdon had a solid 49/18 K/BB in 47 innings for the Angels last season. Since he gave up 11 homers, it only amounted to a 5.55 ERA, but the Guardians will almost surely be able to get more out of him in middle relief. He’s out of options, so he should have a roster spot coming out of spring training, and if he has a strong season, the Guardians will also be able to keep him through arbitration in 2027.

Angels RHP Connor Brogdon elected free agency.
Brogdon heads to the open market after posting a pedestrian 5.55 ERA across 47 innings over 43 appearances this past season for Los Angeles. The 30-year-old righty has made 186 appearances in the big leagues since 2020. He should be able to latch on somewhere this offseason as organizational relief depth.

Angels selected the contract of RHP Connor Brogdon from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Brogdon, 30, was re-signed to a minor league contract in late August after he elected free agency following an outright assignment to Triple-A. He has already made 37 appearances with the Angels this season, posting a 5.30 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and a 33/16 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 innings of work. He’ll function in a middle relief role.

Angels re-signed RHP Connor Brogdon to a minor league contract.
The 30-year-old hurler elected free agency last week rather than accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake, but after exploring the open market he decided that a return to the Angels made the most sense for him. He has registered a 5.30 ERA over 37 1/3 innings in 37 appearances with the Halos this season.

Angels selected the contract of RHP Connor Brogdon from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Brogdon provides the Angels with a fresh bullpen arm heading into Tuesday’s series opener against the Blue Jays. The 30-year-old righty made four relief appearances last year between the Dodgers and Phillies at the big-league level.

Angels signed RHP Connor Brogdon to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Brogdon, 29, elected free agency after being sent outright to Triple-A by the Dodgers in the middle of November. The 29-year-old dealt with injuries in 2024, but he’s been a relatively effective hurler when healthy. He could be amember of the Angels’ bullpen to open the year, but he’ll need to earn a spot on the 40-man roster to do so.
