Padres acquired OF Connor Panas from the Blue Jays for LHP Clayton Richard and cash considerations.
The 25-year-old outfielder isn’t considered a highly-rated prospect, but it’s better than letting Richard walk away for nothing after designating him for assignment last week. Papas hit a mere .232/.296/.359 with nine homers and 39 RBI in 105 contests at Double-A New Hampshire in 2018.
