Robertson was designated for assignment by the Mariners 10 days ago and passed through waivers without drawing a claim from another team. The 30-year-old outfielder is a .273/.322/.325 career hitter in the major leagues.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Joe Wieland. Robertson is a career .273/.322/.325 hitter at the major league level and stands a pretty good chance at clearing waivers.

The 30-year-old outfielder was hitting .262/.327/.391 with four homers and 27 RBI in 73 games at Triple-A. He’ll add bench depth for the M’s and is completely irrelevant for fantasy purposes.

Robertson slashed .263/.300/.316 in 21 plate appearances with the M’s. He is a .273/.322/.325 career hitter.

Robertson was removed from the Mariners’ 40-man roster back in August. The 31-year-old is a career .273/.322/.325 hitter in the majors.

Robertson was most recently with the Mariners before opting for free agency in mid-October. He saw relatively little action with the major league club this past season, picking up hits in five of 19 at-bats. With a career .273/.322/.325 batting line in 271 career MLB at-bats, his best hope this coming spring will be to carve out a role as a bench extra.

The 31-year-old journeyman signed a minor league contract with the Indians in November and is trying to make the club as a backup outfielder. He had a .263 batting average in 19 at-bats with the Mariners last year. He has also seen small amounts of big-league time with the Rangers and Angels in prior seasons.

With Chisenhall sitting, Daniel Robertson draws the start in right field. Just how long Chisenhall might be out of action is not yet known, but this could just be a precautionary sidelining.

Austin Jackson will start in center field and Daniel Robertson will start in right field with the A’s throwing left-hander Sean Manaea. Zimmer, a left-handed hitter, had a two-run double and a two-run homer in Tuesday’s victory over Oakland and is batting .314/.400/.600 through his first 13 major league games.

Brantley’s wife Melissa is having a baby in Cleveland, where the Indians are finishing up a series against the Dodgers with a matinee game. Next on the schedule is a road series in Minnesota, so Brantley may be headed to the paternity leave list. Daniel Robertson got the start in left field on Thursday afternoon.
