Tigers optioned LHP Enmanuel De Jesus to Triple-A Toledo.
De Jesus has been hit hard this season, surrendering 12 runs on 16 hits with a 9/6 K/BB ratio over eight innings of work over six appearances. The 29-year-old lefty was rocked for seven runs – five earned – over 1 1/3 innings during Tuesday’s blowout loss to the Brewers.

Tigers optioned RHP Brenan Hanifee to Triple-A Toledo.
Hanifee’s departure at the conclusion of spring training means Enmanuel De Jesus and Brant Hurter secure the final two spots in Detroit’s season-opening bullpen. The 27-year-old righty made a career-high 54 relief appearances for the Tigers last year, finishing with a solid 3.00 ERA and 40/14 K/BB ratio across 60 innings of work.

Beau Brieske has a left groin strain and “won’t be ready for Opening Day.”
The 27-year-old slipped while working on his delivery during a workout on Monday and strained his groin. That opens up a path for Enmanuel De Jesus to make the Opening Day roster.

Tigers signed RHP Enmanuel De Jesus to their 40-man roster.
The Tigers needed to add De Jesus to their 40-man roster to keep him from agreeing to a contract overseas, where he pitched for the last two seasons. The 29-year-old has thrown 6 1/3 innings for the Tigers this spring without allowing an earned run. He has allowed just four hits while striking out seven and walking one. There is a chance he wins a spot in the bullpen to open the season.

Tigers signed LHP Enmanuel De Jesus to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports that De Jesus will earn $1.3 million if he reaches the majors. The 29-year-old southpaw spent the last two seasons pitching overseas in Korea with the Kiwoom Heroes and KT Wiz, respectively. He last appeared in the majors with the Marlins back in 2023. He represents low-risk gamble for the Tigers heading into spring training.

According to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News, Enmanuel De Jesus has signed with the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization.
The 27-year-old will earn $1 million in 2025 including a signing bonus of $200,000. De Jesus had been receiving interest from MLB teams this off-season, but ultimately decided that it was in his best interest to remain in Korea. Th right-hander went 13-11 with a 3.68 ERA and a 178/44 K/BB ratio over 171 1/3 innings with the Kiwoom Heroes in 2024.

Enmanuel De Jesus, who spent last season with the Kiwoom Heroes of the KBO, has drawn interest from two major league clubs, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.
The Heroes have decided against bringing back De Jesus, even though the 27-year-old went 13-11 with a 3.68 ERA and a 178/44 K/BB in 171 1/3 innings in his lone season with the team. A former Red Sox prospect, De Jesus pitched briefly in the majors for the Marlins in 2023 before going to Korea.

Enmanuel De Jesus has signed with the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization.
De Jesus was removed from the Marlins’ 40-man roster this fall after posting an 11.37 ERA and 2.05 WHIP across two appearances for Miami. With his new contract with the Heroes, the 27-year-old will make $600,000 with $200,000 in incentives.

Marlins sent LHP Enmanuel De Jesus outright to Triple-A Jacksonville.
De Jesus will automatically become a minor league free agent shortly after the conclusion of the Fall Classic following his removal from Miami’s 40-man roster. The 26-year-old southpaw made a pair of relief appearances this season for the Marlins after signing a minor league pact with the club last offseason. He’s merely emergency organizational depth at this stage of his career, but shouldn’t have trouble latching on somewhere else this offseason.

With Tanner Scott returning from paternity leave on Thursday, the Marlins needed to free up a spot in their bullpen and De Jesus pulled the short straw this time around. The 26-year-old left-hander compiled an 11.37 ERA, 2.05 WHIP and a 5/4 K/BB ratio over 6 1/3 innings with the Marlins.
