Eric Stults held the Mets to one run in six innings of work on Sunday to pick up a win in his first big league start.
Stults walked two and struck out three while yielding a pair of hits, one of which was Jose Reyes’ solo homer to account for the only Mets run of the game. With Chad Billingsley due back Friday, Stults is likely to head to the bullpen now. The Dodgers have already said that Hong-Chih Kuo will get another start.

Eric Stults has been told by manager Grady Little to be prepared to start Sunday’s game against the Mets.
Stults is a lefty and Little believes the Mets have more trouble hitting left-handed pitchers. He wasn’t great this season for Triple-A Las Vegas and against a powerful lineup like the Mets we don’t recommend him in fantasy leagues.

Eric Stults was solid in a spot start Monday, giving up just two runs on four hits and four walks over six innings in a loss to the Indians.
He struck out four, needing 107 pitches to cover the six frames. Stults is expected to be sent down following the game, though it’s possible he could get another shot at some point with Chris Sale now in the bullpen.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher
Eric Stults will remain in the White Sox starting rotation for at least one more start.
Stults had a solid showing on Monday night, allowing just two runs on four hits over six innings against the Indians. But the lefty remains an unattractive fantasy option.

White Sox purchased the contract of LHP Eric Stults from Triple-A Charlotte.
Stults will pitch Game Two of Monday’s doubleheader against the Indians. He will be sent right back to the minors after the game. Chicago is still contemplating if they will call up a reliever for Monday’s games. Double-A lefty Jose Quintana is rumored to be that guy if they decide to do so. As for Stolts, the veteran southpaw holds a 2.20 ERA over five starts at Triple-A Charlotte, striking out 26 over 28 2/3 innings. He should be avoided for fantasy purposes.

The White Sox will call up Eric Stults to make a spot start during Monday’s day-night doubleheader against the Indians.
The veteran southpaw holds a 2.20 ERA over five starts at Triple-A Charlotte, striking out 26 over 28 2/3 innings. He’ll be sent back down after the outing and should be avoided for fantasy purposes.

White Sox signed LHP Eric Stults to a minor league contract.
Stults spent most of 2011 at Triple-A, posting a 4.63 ERA and 9.1 K/9 rate over 52 appearances. He made it up for six games with the Rockies and allowed eight runs over 12 frames. The 32-year-old left-hander will have a shot in spring training to win a bullpen job but ultimately will likely represent depth at Triple-A.

Eric Stults could replace Ross Ohlendorf in the rotation next week.
Stults came on to stop the bleeding Thursday after Ohlendorf lasted just 1 2/3 innings in a loss to the Reds. The left-hander posted a respectable 4.06 ERA in four starts earlier this year for the Pads before going on the DL with a strained lat muscle.

Eric Stults was impressive in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing just one run on seven hits over his six innings.
Stults walked one and struck out one, and the only run he allowed came in the second inning on a solo homer from Andre Ethier. Stults has pitched very well in 14 appearances (10 starts) for the Padres this season, boasting a 5-2 record and 2.35 ERA. With the Padres’ new six-man rotation, he won’t get the ball again until Tuesday when he takes on the Cardinals at home.

Eric Stults yielded two runs in 6 2/3 innings Saturday against the Angels in his Padres debut.
Stults, who replaced the injured Tim Stauffer in the rotation, allowed four hits, walked three and struck out two in his first appearance after being claimed off waivers from the White Sox. He’ll probably be worth using in NL-only leagues in his home starts.
