Diamondbacks acquired RHP Hunter Cranton, 1B Tyler Locklear, and RHP Juan Burgos from the Mariners in exchange for 3B Eugenio Suárez.
Cranton enters Arizona’s farm system as their 20th-ranked prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. The 24-year-old was a third-round pick by the Mariners just last season and projects as a future big league reliever with a high-90s fastball and a tight, gyro slider. He likely won’t pich MLB innings until next season.
