The crown jewel of the Dodgers’ latest batch of international singings, Vargas might not stick at shortstop long-term, but he’s one of the most exciting five-tool prospects in the entire signing class. The 17-year-old shortstop was MLB Pipeline’s third-ranked international prospect in the signing class. He’s a few light years away from the majors, but projects as an impact fantasy contributor someday.

The third-ranked international prospect according to MLB Pipeline, Vargas is already 6-foot-3 with a plus arm but could move off the position in the future. A former switch-hitter and has some swing-and-miss in his game but if everything clicks, he has the chance to be a slugger on the infield dirt.
