Rangers acquired OF Marcus Smith from the Athletics to complete the Mike Minor trade.
Smith, 20, was a third-round pick of the Athletics in 2019. The outfielder ranked as the No. 22 prospect in the A’s system by MLB.com. In 29 games in the Arizona Fall League last autumn, he hit .361/.466/.443 with no homers and one stolen base.
