Jose Reyes has been on the disabled list since late April with a cracked rib, but manager John Gibbons told reporters that the current plan is for the All-Star shortstop to rejoin the active roster Monday.

First he’ll need to avoid a setback during a brief minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A and it’s worth noting that Reyes previously indicated he expects to play through at least some level of discomfort for the remainder of the season.

Prior to being placed on the DL he hit .250 with zero homers and a .566 OPS in 16 games, giving Reyes a combined .288 batting average and .737 OPS in 252 games for the Blue Jays.
