Brady Anderson, who was hired by the Orioles last winter as a special assistant to the director of baseball operations, has now been promoted to vice president of baseball operations.
That’s borderline in terms of a post-worthy topic, even on a slow news day, but I mostly just wanted to note this excellent bit of sportswriter snark from Peter Schmuck of the Baltimore Sun:
No word yet on how their roles will change, but the shorter titles are expected to save paper in future press releases, confirming the club’s commitment to the environment.
A-plus work.
