Daniel Murphy has a pulled hamstring

Daniel Murphy throw

Remember last week’s story about how Mets possible second baseman Daniel Murphy had “leg fatigue.” Yeah, turns out it’s really a pulled hamstring.

Adam Rubin -- who passed that along in his ESPN chat a few minutes ago -- said that it was minor, but it’s still not great news. Not for Murphy, who has had health problems in the past. Not for the Mets either, who have a history of under-reporting the severity of player injuries that occur in winter ball, often via Adam Rubin.
