According to the fine folks at MetsBlog.com, shortstop Jose Reyes finished 0-for-1 with a walk and a run scored Thursday in his first minor league rehab game at Single-A Binghamton.

Reyes manned shortstop for five innings, reporting no lingering pain or discomfort in his once-strained left hamstring. He’s scheduled to play in another rehab game Saturday with Binghamton before potentially returning to the Mets’ starting lineup on Monday for a doubleheader against the Marlins.

Reyes was batting .336/.377/.507 with five home runs, 16 triples, 34 stolen bases and 80 runs scored through 98 games this season. The 28-year-old will become a free agent five days after the World Series and is likely to draw a long line of deep-pocketed suitors.
