Josh Johnson, currently sidelined with right shoulder inflammation and a mid-back strain, didn’t throw as scheduled before this afternoon’s game against the Nationals, according to Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post.
Marlins interim manager Edwin Rodriguez wasn’t quite ready to say it this morning, but if Johnson is unable to throw Sunday, he’ll be scratched from his next scheduled start on Wednesday and perhaps shut down for the rest of the season.“His back is kind of too tight and he’s not feeling well.”
“We’re going day by day. Let’s see what happens tomorrow and after that we’ll decide what we’re going to do for Wednesday. And then after that, who knows what is going to happen.”
