The media finally got a chance to talk to Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor after Sunday afternoon’s brawl during which Odor punched Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista in the face. Odor told the media, including Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, that he expects to be suspended, but doesn’t regret his actions. Odor said, “I know I’m going to be suspended for a couple games, but I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing.”

Even more curiously, Odor said of Bautista, “I respect him. He plays hard.” He said he was “just trying to protect myself”. Finally, Odor said that he believes the bad blood between the two teams is now over. It’s worth noting that the two teams won’t meet during the regular season again.
