Video: Stephen Colbert sells a hot dog to Joe Maddon

Milwaukee Brewers v Chicago Cubs

CHICAGO, IL - SEPTEMBER 17: Stephen Colbert, playing the role of Wrigley Field hot dog vendor Donny Franks, hands a hot dog to manager Joe Maddon #70 of the Chicago Cubs during filming for a special segment before the game between the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field on September 17, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois. Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show on CBS, was in Chicago this weekend to tape some segments. As WGN reports, Colbert went to Wrigley Field dressed in disguise as a hot dog vender named “Donny Franks,” who had long hair and a goatee. One of his customers was Cubs manager Joe Maddon.

Colbert also interviewed a Wrigley Field hot dog vender named Rocco Caputo. As Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports, Caputo told Colbert that he was one of four vendors named Rocco. “That’s the most Chicago thing I’ve ever heard,” Colbert said.

The Cubs clinched the NL Central title late on Thursday evening when the Giants beat the Cardinals, so they can afford to have some fun between now and the end of the regular season.
