The Expos are expected to recall Tim Drew from Triple-A Edmonton today.
Drew has struggled at Edmonton, going 3-8 with a 7.50 ERA in 15 starts. He’ll be used as a reliever with the Expos, in which capacity he looked good last season, with a 2.81 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 10/2 K/BB in 16 major-league innings.

Tim Drew, outrighted Saturday, chose not to become a free agent and returned to Triple-A Edmonton.
Drew had 72 hours to accept or decline his minor-league assignment after being sent down by the Expos.

Manager Frank Robinson, who removed Sun Woo Kim from the fifth starter job, said he has a candidate in mind for the role.
It is assumed Robinson is referring to Tim Drew, who pitched well in relief for the Expos last year, but was miserable as a starter for Triple-A Edmonton this year with a 7.50 ERA.
  • COL Relief Pitcher
Tim Drew allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings Sunday in his first start of the season.
Drew will probably get one more start before the Expos decide whether to call up Seung Song to replace him in the rotation.

Braves placed RHP Tim Drew on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right calf.
Well, we all knew that the Braves would lose Drew to the disabled list at some point. It just figured to be the other one. Tim won’t be missed.

Braves activated RHP Tim Drew from the 15-day disabled list.
Drew will be used in a mop-up role for the rest of the season.
  • COL Relief Pitcher
Braves sent RHP Tim Drew and RHP Travis Smith outright to Triple-A Richmond.
The Braves can’t afford to carry mop-up men on their 40-man roster. Both pitchers could be offered minor league deals.

Rockies signed RHP Tim Drew to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Tim Drew in Coors Field? It wouldn’t take long for that to get ugly. He’ll probably begin the season at Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Braves signed RHP Tim Drew to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
The Drew brothers will get to spend spring training together, but Tim will almost certainly be assigned to Triple-A Richmond before the start of the season. The right-hander took a big step in the wrong direction last year, going 5-9 with a 7.23 ERA in 15 starts and 12 relief appearances for Triple-A Edmonton.
