Rangers RHP prospect Trey Lambert scattered five hits and two runs over six innings Saturday in a playoff-clinching win for High-A High Desert.
The 6'4" right-hander hasn’t lost since August 9. Over that span, he’s posted a 4.76 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 28 1/3 innings. The 24-year-old isn’t missing enough bats and will have to do something to lower his abysmal .309 average against before reaching the next level.
