Royals optioned RHP Jonathan Bowlan to Triple-A Omaha; reassigned C Tyler Cropley and LHP Christian Chamberlain to minor league camp.
Kansas City is down to 59 players in camp after trimming three players from their roster. Bowlan made two appearances (one start) last year for the Royals and will open the year back in the upper minors.

Royals sent C Tyler Cropley outright to Triple-A Omaha.
The 27-year-old Cropley, who went 1-for-6 as a major leaguer, was previously outrighted in September, so he can decline the assignment and become a free agent. Still, staying with Kansas City is probably his best bet.

Royals optioned C Tyler Cropley to Triple-A Omaha.
The 27-year-old played in two games as he filled in as a backup catcher when Salvador Perez was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list. He’ll head back to Triple-A and will continue to serve as organizational depth for Kansas City.

Royals selected the contract of C Tyler Cropley from Triple-A Omaha.
Cropley gets the call back to the majors with Salvador Perez landing on the 7-day concussion injured list ahead of Monday’s series opener against the Guardians. The 27-year-old backstop was up briefly earlier this month, but didn’t end up appearing in a game for Kansas City.

Royals sent C Tyler Cropley outright to Triple-A Omaha.
Unfortunately, Cropley didn’t get to make an appearance during his brief major league stint, but at least he does get a promotion here, as he was playing in Double-A until his emergency callup. He’ll take Logan Porter’s spot in Omaha.

Royals designated C Tyler Cropley for assignment.
Cropley joined the Royals on Saturday when the team needed a quick replacement for Freddy Fermin, but it seems he wasn’t in the team’s plans. Unfortunately, he didn’t get into a game during his two-day stint. He’ll almost certainly clear waivers.

Royals selected the contract of C Tyler Cropley from Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Cropley has been summoned to replace an injured Freddy Fermin (finger) on Kansas City’s active roster. The 27-year-old backstop will be making his big league debut when he gets into a game.
