The helmet worn (and signed by) Scott Dixon when he won the 2015 IndyCar championship at Sonoma three weeks ago will remain up for auction until Tuesday evening on eBay.

While bidding will continue on other items through Oct. 26, the eBay auction of 20 driver-worn racing helmets benefitting the Wilson Children’s Fund will end this week.

Bidding on the same helmet Scott Dixon wore in his IndyCar championship-clinching victory at Sonoma three weeks ago will close Tuesday at 9:20 pm ET.

Bidding on 19 other helmets – including those of IndyCar championship runner-up Juan Pablo Montoya and Mario Andretti (which he wore while driving the Honda “Fastest Seat in Sports” two-seat Indy car this past season) – ends Thursday at 9 pm ET.

Additional items donated by groups such as Formula One, NASCAR, United SportsCar Championship, World Endurance Challenge and Global Rallycross drivers, as well as people from the entertainment industry, will remain open for bidding until the auction concludes Oct. 26.

All proceeds from the auction will go to the family of IndyCar driver Justin Wilson, who died Aug. 24 after suffering a head injury in a race one day earlier.
