  • ORL Power Forward #44
The Magic hosted six draft prospects for a workout on Wednesday, highlighted by St. Bonaventure’s Andrew Nicholson.
Other participants included Moe Harkless, William Buford, Camreon Moore, Darrion Pellum and Jeff Taylor. Orlando has the No. 19 overall pick and could very well be targeting Nicholson in that slot considering how badly the team needs help on the front line.

St. Bonaventure forward Andrew Nicholson headlined a workout for the Suns on Monday.
The group also featured Syracuse center Fab Melo. With the No. 13 overall pick, either big man would be considered a major reach. The Suns are likely just doing their due diligence in evaluating draft prospects.

St. Bonaventure PF Andrew Nicholson was drafted No. 19 overall by the Magic.
Nicholson is a versatile player with a well-polished offensive game for a big man, averaging 12.0 points last season on 57.1 percent shooting, including 43.4 percent from downtown. He’s also a solid rebounder (8.4) and shot-blocker (2.0), which just might come in handy if and when Dwight Howard leaves town. He is 6'10" and needs to get stronger, so he’s not likely to play many minutes at center as a rookie.

The Celtics, Nuggets and Rockets all have interest in St. Bonaventure F Andrew Nicholson.
Adrian Wojnarowski writes that Nicholson is “unlikely to get past” the Celtics at No. 21, but that’s nothing new. Whatever team takes Nicholson should be very happy with their selection.
  • ATL Power Forward #14
Gustavo Ayon has officially been traded from the Hornets to the Magic.
Ayon played well as a 26-year-old rookie last season, averaging 5.9 points on 53.6 percent shooting, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.9 blocks and only 0.9 turnovers in 20 minutes per game. Fantasy owners should pay very close attention to those per-minute steals and blocks numbers -- Orlando’s frontcourt is a giant question mark until Dwight is traded, but given enough minutes Ayon could be a productive fantasy player.

The Bulls hosted Andrew Nicholson, among other NBA draft prospects, for a workout over the weekend.
The other prospects included Draymond Green and Scott Machado. The Bulls are also set to conduct another workout on Monday, where Fab Melo, John Jenkins, Jared Cunningham and Tu Holloway are expected to be in attendance.

The 76ers held a workout for six PF/C prospects on Saturday, signaling their intention to draft a big man with the No. 15 pick.
In attendance were Perry Jones III, Terrence Jones, Arnett Moultrie, Andrew Nicholson, John Henson and Tyler Zeller. The Sixers might not re-sign unrestricted FA Spencer Hawes, and Elton Brand remains an amnesty-clause candidate, two more compelling reasons to draft a big man.

    Magic signed F Andrew Nicholson.
News of the signing was distributed via a press release and terms were not disclosed. The Magic have officially signed the No. 19 overall pick in the draft, and Nicholson should get the opportunity to contribute immediately in his rookie season.
  • ORL Power Forward #44
Andrew Nicholson was solid in 21 minutes off the bench with 14 points on 7-of-15 shooting with three rebounds and a block on Thursday.
Nicholson is going to get a chance to show what he can do with Al Harrington (knee) sidelined. This eye-opening outing puts him on the radar in deeper leagues.
  • ORL Power Forward #44
Andrew Nicholson hit just 2-of-8 shots to finish with five points, seven rebounds and a block in Friday’s preseason loss to Houston.
He has some talent but chances are you can find a better way to use a late draft pick, considering that Glen Davis is starting at power forward this season.
