It’s a happy day for the Hansbrough family, but has zero implications in fantasy leagues.

Owners can breathe a sigh of relief and nobody should be making any speculative adds of D.J. Augustin or Ben Hansbrough at this time.

Hansbrough will “stick around” as the Pacers third point guard and will continue to have no fantasy value.

Vogel did leave the door open for Hansbrough to keep the role if he plays well, but the coach is looking for a spark in the second unit more than anything else. “Our bench as an unit has been struggling,” he said. More shakeups could happen on the Pacers bench, but it’s not going to impact those in standard formats.

Augustin has done nothing to deserve the playing time, unfortunately, and Frank Vogel is desperate to find a spark off the bench. It’s an interesting development but won’t have fantasy ramifications outside of the deepest leagues.

D.J. Augustin has been struggling mightily this season, and he hasn’t played more than 15 minutes in a game since November 21. Meanwhile, Tyler Hansbrough is shooting 37.6 percent this season and hasn’t played up to expectations. Those two seem like the most obvious candidates for demotion should Vogel follow through on his idea.

Hansbrough has no fantasy value in his backup role for the Pacers.

Clearly, the shoulder injury isn’t serious. Although D.J. Augustin played decently in Hansbrough’s absence, it’ll take more than one good game for him to regain his role as the primary backup to George Hill.

He’s considered day-to-day, and could have returned to action if needed. D.J. Augustin could reassume his role as the primary backup point guard in Hansbrough’s absence, but nothing has been decided yet.

Psycho B is shooting 26.6 percent since the switch, while struggling to spark the second unit and play effective defense, and Vogel feels Augustin has found a groove in recent practices. “He hasn’t missed a shot since he came out of the lineup,” Vogel said. “He’s made every single 3-point shot and is playing with great energy on the defensive end. When he gets the opportunity, I think he’ll do really well.”
