Damian Lillard scored a game-high 26 points in a home loss on Sunday, making 8-of-24 FGs and 8-of-8 FTs with seven assists and three rebounds.
Lillard missed his first seven shots tonight and didn’t do much to fill out his fantasy line with a 2-of-12 mark from deep, one steal and three turnovers. The Blazers are now 9-15 and they just lost Rodney Hood to a torn Achilles, so their playoff potential isn’t looking great. That said, Lillard is super durable and the Blazers should contend with the Kings, Thunder, Suns and Wolves (all of whom are above them in the standings), so we’re not too worried.
  • Point Guard
Bo McCalebb has signed with Gran Canaria of Spain, according to David Pick.
McCalebb was unable to make the Pelicans roster last season and will again play in Europe for 2016-17. While the 31-year-old has had success overseas, he’s never been able to translate that success to the NBA and won’t have any fantasy value going forward.
  • Point Guard
    Pelicans waive G Bo McCalebb.
McCalebb is a star in Europe, but he couldn’t even make the Pelicans roster despite all of the injuries at point guard. It’s likely he’ll return overseas.
  • Small Forward #4
The Pelicans will waive Jeff Adrien, Bo McCalleb and Bryce DeJean-Jones.
None of these players were expected to make the final roster, but there is a good chance that Adrien will get another shot in the NBA.
