He expects to be available for Thursday’s game against Chicago.

Weatherspoon has become a valuable member of the Rockets’ rotation after seeing very little time with the Knicks. He still has no fantasy value however.

The move will save them $6 million in luxury taxes and with Stromile Swift around, he had no fantasy value this year anwyay.

The finger was popped back into place and Weatherspoon returned to play 34 minutes.

Weatherspoon had been out with a strained right calf.

Weatherspoon is averaging 2.3 points in 11 games this season.

It’s the same injury that bothered him in the preseason. Good thing he has no fantasy value.

Ironically, he finally showed up on a night the Rockets lost. He still doesn’t have much fantasy value, as Yao Ming was out tonight.

Howard is out for at least a month, giving the seldom-used Weatherspoon a shot. He has played a total of one minute over the past five games for the Rockets so we’re a little surprised that Scott Padgett isn’t getting the call. Padgett will probably continue to be the first guy off the bench, and it’s possible that Weatherspoon could actually fill the gap nicely. If you own Howard, or you need a power forward, monitor Weatherspoon closely.

Spoon has not played much at all this year and probably isn’t going to have much value.
