Wingman D.J. Kennedy, who was recently signed for the rest of the season by the Cavs, played 31 minutes and led the Cavs with 12 points in his NBA debut on Tuesday.
He added six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers, and if you want to pick him up and use him for Thursday against the Bulls, he looks like a nice choice, as Kyrie Irving has already been ruled out.

Cavaliers sign G/F D.J. Kennedy for the rest of the season.
Kennedy has been playing in the D-League this season, averaging 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 37 minutes per game.
  • DAL Guard #11
Kyrie Irving (illness) will not play on Thursday against the Bulls, as expected.
Donald Sloan will get the start at the point, and the entire Cavs backcourt gets a boost with this news.
  • ATL Power Forward #33
Antawn Jamison scored 12 points in what is likely his last game with the Cavs on Thursday, hitting 4-of-18 shots (including a three) with seven rebounds and a steal in 28 minutes.
Jamison was somewhat questionable for the game as a shutdown candidate and we won’t hold the shooting against him in a game like this. Donald Sloan started with Kyrie Irving out, scoring 12 points on 6-of-17 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 42 minutes, Tristan Thompson ended on a good note with 13 points, 12 boards, a steal, and a block, Alonzo Gee scored 10 points with five boards, and D.J. Kennedy whiffed with six missed shots and a board to his name.

Grizzlies trade G Jeremy Pargo, a 2014 second-round pick and cash to Cleveland for G/F D.J. Kennedy.
If ever there was a trade that had no fantasy relevance, it’s this one. Both players will spend most of their time on the bench for their new teams.
  • Shooting Guard #17
D.J. Kennedy was traded to the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Kennedy was signed by the Cavs in late April during the 2011-12 season and is not on the fantasy radar now that he’s with the Grizzlies.
  • Shooting Guard #17
    Grizzlies waive G D.J. Kennedy.
Kennedy was included in the Jeremy Pargo deal and he really had no shot of contributing with the Grizzlies this year. The 6'6" guard from St. John’s will have a tough time making any roster and has no fantasy value.
  • Shooting Guard #17
The Grizzlies will re-sign D.J. Kennedy to a non-guaranteed training camp contract.
Kennedy was acquired in the trade that sent Jeremy Pargo to the Cavaliers, but Memphis likes him enough to keep him around for the preseason. He has an uphill battle to make any team’s regular season roster.
  • Shooting Guard #17
The Mavs have invited former Cavaliers swingman D.J. Kennedy to training camp.
Kennedy was a D-League All-Star last year on his way to helping Rio Grande win it all. , named to the All-Star team during the ’12-13 campaign before helping the Rio Grande Valley Vipers win the title. He’s played in just two NBA games, both with the Cavaliers, and doesn’t appear to have much of a shot at making the team.
  • Shooting Guard #17
D.J. Kennedy has reportedly agreed to a three-year, partially guaranteed deal with the Nuggets.
Kennedy made his NBA debut back in 2012, but he has only played in a total of two games to date. He’s unlikely to last past camp in Denver.
