Without Allen Iverson, coach Randy Ayers will count on the rest of the Sixers’ established core - Eric Snow, Aaron McKie and Derrick Coleman - and focus on having the team play at a more deliberate pace.
Snow’s value gets a bump for the rest of the month. He’s sixth in the league in assists, and should be able to score in double figures without Iverson taking 25 shots a game.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow started tonight after sprained his left ankle in practice yesterday. He had 15 points and 11 assists in 42 minutes.
Snow also had four steals and six rebounds tonight.
  • CLE Point Guard
Jeff McInnis will remain the starting point guard in Cleveland. Newcomer Eric Snow will move to shooting guard.
Coach Paul Silas’ plan has the two players, like their positions, being interchangeable. It also means LeBron James will be the small forward, and Dajuan Wagner will be the backup shooting guard. Power forward Drew Gooden and center Zydrunas Ilgauskas round out the Cavs’ starters.
  • CLE Point Guard
Cavaliers suspended guard Eric Snow one game without pay for his actions in a December 16 game against the Pistons.
Dajuan Wagner will get some extra minutes tonight against the Celtics.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow was sent away from the bench tonight in the second quarter by coach Paul Silas, and ended up playing just one minute.
Snow and Silas got into it over a turnover on an eight-second call and when Snow talked back to Silas, he was told to go to the locker room, which he did. Snow returned to the bench for the second half, but didn’t play.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow returned from a one-game suspension tonight and had four points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 17 minutes.
As long as Jeff McInnis is playing so well, Snow has very little fantasy value.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow played 40 minutes tonight, but managed just three points on 1-of-4 shooting.
This is surprising, considering how well he had been playing and the fact LeBron James was not playing. He’ll continue to see decent minutes since Ira Newble is injured.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow will start at point guard for the Cavaliers this season.
Snow got the slight edge on Damon Jones. Jones scored more points this preseason, but Snow had more assists, less turnovers and played better defense. This move allows the Cavs to use Donyell Marshall and Damon Jones to come off the bench together and run the second unit.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow failed to score a point for the second straight game, and didn’t do much of anything else despite starting.
No points, no steals, 0-of-3 and just three assists equals fantasy disaster. Cut bait now and get someone who can help your team. Even if Snow gets it going, he’s not going to be much of a scorer.
  • CLE Point Guard
Eric Snow failed to score in Cleveland’s blowout win tonight.
He also managed just one steal, which is not a good sign since he’s starting for defensive purposes. His backup, Damon Jones, finished with 12 points, two assists and two threes.
