Gian Clavell has agreed to a partially guaranteed minimum deal with the Mavericks.
This means he will get an invite to training camp, but he’s not a lock to make the 15-man roster. It does help his case that the Mavs recently waived Nicolas Brussino, though. Clavell was the Mountain West Player of the Year at Colorado State last season, averaging 20.4 points, 6.3 boards, 1.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.9 treys. If he doesn’t make the final roster, he will be a candidate for a two-way contract.

Gian Glavell has agreed to a two-way contract with the Mavericks.
Glavell will spend most of the year in the G-League, so there’s no reason to pay him any attention in fantasy hoops.

Gian Clavell scored nine points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday.
Garbage time did help him out, but Clavell is in the rotation as the Mavs try to get over the Dennis Smith Jr. (knee) injury. He is only worth a look in ridiculously deep leagues unless DSJ is out for several games.

The Mavs are planning to release Gian Clavell.
He had a killer preseason and that’s the main reason why he made the team. That momentum stopped in his 64 minutes this season, making just 33.3 percent from the field with 20 points, seven boards, three assists and two steals. Clavell is 23 and is probably headed to the G League.

Devin Harris (chest, ribs) doesn’t expect to miss much time after getting hit below his left shoulder during Saturday’s game.
Harris sat out Sunday but projected that he won’t be out very long. “As soon as I can raise my arm over my head comfortably,” he said. If Harris misses more time, expect Yogi Ferrell and J.J. Barea to see more playing time.
