The Timberwolves used their sixth pick of the 2009 draft (No. 47) to select Henk Norel, a 21-year-old forward from Europe.
Norel played with Ricky Rubio in Spain, but unlike Rubio he’s not quite ready for the NBA. The Wolves are expected to leave him overseas for a few years, in the hopes that he’ll fill out physically and develop his limited offensive repertoire.
