Larry’s wife, Shelly, wants him to take a year off and spend time with their young children, but Phil Jackson money from the Knicks will probably win that argument.

As Larry’s world turns and he closes in on becoming the highest paid coach in history, Herb Williams moves closer to the unemployment line. Larry should be announced as the Knicks coach at any moment.

If Larry takes the job, Herb will likely remain on the staff as an assistant, and if Larry doesn’t take it, the job will likely be Herb’s. We’re guessing Brown wants to let Williams know he’s taking the job before they go public with it.
